Mound system for adsorbtion of effluent from a septic tank or Biotank sewage treatment system.

The following question was sent to us today:

"The water table on site is only 600mm below ground level and perculation test did not fare very well so I feel that Biotank may be the solution.What sort of discharge is possible with no nearby water course?"

The answer is to construct your own soakaway above the ground. In doing so you can get the right absorbtion and percolation to deal with all of the water from your septic tank or sewage treatment system.

The mound system is very good but the problem in the UK is normally space to site the mound. As domestic properties have limited ground space then a mound option can be difficult to accomodate.
